NORTHERN IRELAND FANS PLAY AT WINDSOR PARK
Northern Ireland supporters had the opportunity of a lifetime as they played at the new National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, after winning a Vauxhall competition.
Vauxhall, the Northern Ireland team sponsor, provided fans with the experience following the competition on www.vauxhallfootball.co.uk.
The Northern Ireland supporters played against a team from the Irish Mirror, with a number of celebrities also playing their part.
Former Northern Ireland, Manchester United and Newcastle United winger Keith Gillespie captained the Vauxhall team who were managed by former national team manager Sammy McIlroy.
The Irish team, which also compromised of some competition winners, included former Coronation Street actor Charlie Lawson, who played Jim McDonald in the soap, and former Crusaders player Paul Leeman.
Local radio presenter David O’Reilly and comedian Shane Todd also took to the field on what was a prestigious occasion.
